Requirements for the Hungary Digital Nomad Visa: a monthly income of at least EUR 2,000 (it must recur month by month). Being employed by, or a partner in, a company outside Hungary. Having no shareholding whatsoever in a Hungarian company. In the application process, if you do not already hold a visa, the process begins by requesting a 30-day visa. Once the 30-day visa has been obtained, you must travel to Hungary and make the White Card application. If, during the application process, you hold a visa that allows you to travel to Hungary, you may start your process by completing the electronic form. Points to note: the documents showing your income situation must be prepared carefully in the application file. Showing a lump sum in a bank account is not suitable for this programme. An income of at least six months, recurring each month, must be shown. If you do not wish to take out health insurance, you may show funds for this purpose in your bank account. If your application is refused after the 30-day visa process, you must give a declaration at the time of application that you will return. If you do not hold a visa to travel to Hungary and are going to apply for the 30-day visa, you must do so in person. The Hungarian White Card is granted for one year. For an extension, a further year is granted. The programme is limited to this. Although the Hungarian digital nomad visa is carried out as a White Card application, its official counterpart is the Type D Visa.
